Money laundering is a potential indicator of terrorist funding and other global crimes, making it necessary for practical AML training on AML. This is the second part of the online AML training comprising 2 case studies series and is intended to provide practical insights on the AML principles, regulatory and expectations prescribed by the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001 (AMLA) and the relevant guidelines issued by the Securities Commission Malaysia and its implications on capital market intermediaries. Each series is interspersed with interactive knowledge check to ensure effective learning on the part of each participant.
Upon completion of the AML Series – Part 2 Case Studies, participants will be able to undertake prescribed practices and procedures to ensure mitigation or detection of possible incidences of money laundering and terrorism financing (ML/TF) ). Additionally, participants should be able to develop and implement policies, procedures and controls consistent with AML laws and regulations by adopting the risk-based approach to manage and mitigate potential money laundering activities.
